Born in Kuwait City, Kuwait, Lamara Mikheidze grew up surrounded by the beauty of the desert and Persian Gulf. Self-taught, Lamara painted for her friends and family. When she saw resin combined with color, she jumped into the medium with both feet. Inspired by nature and fascinated by geodes, she began mixing crystals, stones, and crushed glass into her work. Now based in Montreal, Lamara says, “I thought I’d be lucky to sell a couple paintings. In the first year, I sold almost 150 pieces."
