The typical American family uses 1,500 plastic bags every year. Nope, you didn’t read that wrong. But thanks to designer Lauren DiCioccio, you can cut down on waste and look really cool doing it. Her funky embroidered fabric bag was inspired by San Francisco's 2007 plastic bag ban. She keeps the same cheerful thank you messages on each bag, but uses recycled taffeta instead of plastic.
