My Husband Loved His Gift!

My husband loves llamas and when I gifted him this llama doormat he got a huge kick out of it! It has held up well to the elements so far and the colors are still vibrant. Very durable and sturdy. Only con was that there was a slight odor upon arrival, but because it resides outside, the odor quickly dissipated and was not a bother. I would recommend this product! #sweepstakes

Love Larry but he's falling apart!

Larry is adorable and he greets my guests every day. He makes everyone smile! I received Larry as a birthday gift in November - so a little over six months ago. He lives in an inside hallway and is not exposed to the elements. Sadly he's fading and falling apart. This shouldn't be happening and soon poor Larry is going to be greeting guests from the trash bin. I was so happy to receive this for my birthday but now I'm just sad and disappointed!

I saw this rug featured in your latest catalog. After reading several reviews (current and also from a year ago), I'm seeing that many customers have said the rug fades very quickly, in a matter of weeks/months. Has there been any update to this product that would extend the life of the color?

Larry the Llama is meant for outdoor use, thus frequently exposed to varying weather conditions. As with any coir mat, the colors may begin to fade after extended exposure to direct sunlight or weathering. However, we're always ready to assist customers if they are unhappy with the product they receive.

The area where the doormat will be placed is exposed to a lot of sun daily with not much shade. How well can the colors hold up to the elements (especially sun) over time?

It's .75" high. Whether or not it fits under your door depends on how high the bottom of your door is, but it should fit in most entryways.

Thanks for your question. Yes, Larry can handle just about whatever Mother Nature throws at him. Over the years, of course with use, he won't look at perfect as he does when he's brand-new. But these mats are meant for outdoor use.
