Dollars & Sense - A Financial Learning Game

Politics, religion, sex—think it’s taboo to talk about them? Guess again. In a recent survey, the Chime financial services company found that 80% of people would rather discuss any of these hot-button topics with their families instead of money. In fact, money is probably one of the last truly off-limits subjects, and yet it’s one that we all need to understand. This card game for families is designed to kick-start discussions that’ll have your whole gang laughing out loud—and learning valuable lessons about money and financial literacy.

• The deck includes four categories: trivia, would-you-rather, that-time-when, and tell-me-more.
• Trivia questions test your finance knowledge (do you know what a cosigner on a loan does?) while the conversation questions—like “What’s the most expensive meal you’ve ever eaten?” and “Would you rather get paid every two weeks, or a portion every day?”—help you explore your ideas, values, and experiences related to money.
• Play competitvely by awarding cards to the person with the best/correct answer to each question. Whoever has the most cards by the time you're done playing is the winner.
