More than 100 UncommonGoods customers shared their best photos, videos and stories with us during the last week, and we sure had a hard time picking our favorites. But here they are, the prize-winning pets.
First Prize:
Molly
Molly’s owner Stephanie says: Molly, now 5, was adopted from Liberty Humane Society when she was a small, worm-filled puppy. The world is clearly hers.
Molly is winning a Found My Dog leash from our Found My Dog accessories line.
The Found My Dog line is all about pets and owners finding each other, much like how Molly found Stephanie through the help of the Humane Society.
Each collar is made in Brooklyn of 100% cotton canvas treated with with animal-safe wax for waterproofing. Each leash is made by professional rope makers in New England and comes with a custom-stamped brass decorative tag.
Second Prize:
Amber & Calvin
Judith tells us that, “Amber was rescued 4 years ago from a dumpster and Calvin was rescued from a busy street under a porch about a year ago. We worried that Amber would not accept the little boy but obviously we need not have. They adore each other!”
Since Amber and Calvin get along so well, we thought they might enjoy our new cardboard cat teepee.
Cat teepees give your four-legged chief somewhere to retire when she’s licked that bowl of tuna clean. Right at home under your roof, the Cat Teepee gives feisty felines a fine tool for ruling any room. Plus, its absorbent walls give you the royal treatment, too, with fibers that nix frisky odors. And as an added bonus, the cat teepee is made of 100% recycled cardboard.
Third Prize:
Ike
Ike was a clear customer favorite, getting the most likes on our Facebook wall. Paul writes, “This is our boxer, Ike. 5 yrs ago his breeder wanted him put down because he’s deaf. My wife rescued him & brought him home. He now lives a happy life and spends his days playing with his 2 best friends, our 2 yr old daughter and our 3 legged cat (another rescue.) He’s also enjoys reading in his spare time.”
Ike seemed so dignified on the couch with his book, that we thought he could use a mustache.
Thanks to everyone who shared their beautiful photos and videos with us. You can check out the rest on our Facebook wall or on Flickr.
