Jesse Jacobsen, Purchasing Assistant
My hometown…
That sleepy, forgotten borough of Staten Island, NY just across the water from us.
An uncommon fact about me…
As a musician, I have performed in some of NYC’s premier venues, from Otto’s Shrunken Head to The Delancey (oh, and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center).
The word or phrase that best describes me…
A smile on my face, a song in my heart.
The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen is…
The sun bursting through the clouds (and the subsequent sunset) over a valley from the mountains surrounding Turrialba, Costa Rica during a friend’s wedding.
My spirit animal is…
A tiger, mainly due to my childhood (and enduring) love of Calvin & Hobbes. Although if that means my spirit philosopher is Hobbes, I might have to reconsider.
When I’m not working, I’m probably…
Playing music or taking her easy for all us sinners.
My relationship with Mother Nature is…
Strictly platonic.
If I won the lottery, I’d…
Say, man, what are the odds, I don’t even play the lottery!
A song I love so much that I played it until I was sick of it…
This doesn’t really happen to me, even though I’ll go through stretches of compulsively replaying favorite songs and albums. I’m convinced that I’ll never tire of The Clash’s London Calling (it helps that it has 19 good-to-great songs).
