We know planning a wedding can feel both sweet and stressful, but we’re here to help you put the focus on the former. The invitations you choose are like a little preview of the big day, so finding just the right style, colors, design, etc., can be a bit overwhelming. That’s why we’re so excited to announce our collaboration with the absolute wedding invitation experts: Crane Stationery.
As a result of joining forces with Crane, our product development team has made five complete wedding suites available to our customers, each with a distinct aesthetic and production details that make them extra special. Follow along on the blog as we introduce you to each of these suites, and find the design that’s a perfect match for your own uncommon nuptials.
Last week we gave you an inside look at our Intersection of Love Wedding Stationery. This week, we’re happy to introduce our Anniversary Journal stationery. It features a classic design that’s rife with possibilities for customization so you can subtly show off your style as a couple.
As its name may suggest, the Anniversary Journal stationery is based on an actual anniversary journal – a product that we’ve had in our assortment for some time and that Senior Product Developer Tiffany Jyang describes as “a really special, timeless, keepsake gift for a couple.”
In collaborating with Crane, Tiffany and the rest of the Product Development team learned that the folded card style is a popular option, and thought it would be a perfect fit for the journal-style suite: “The fact that the invitation opens and closes like a book (just like the actual Anniversary Journal itself) is a great design detail,” Tiffany said. “It’s also laid out like your own journal entry – it really takes a leaf out of the Anniversary Journal’s book (no pun intended).”
In this suite, the small details are what really stand out. It features cursive typography, which “gives it a handwritten feel, while keeping it classic and traditional.” There’s also lots of room for customization with this suite. The included band that holds all of the components of the invitation together features the couple’s names on pearlized paper. Couples can also choose from “a palette of accent colors that are integrated throughout the suite in subtle ways – in the text, borders, and background.”
After fawning over the classic-yet-customizable design, we had to ask: what kind of couple fits best with the Anniversary Journal suite? “This suite would be great for people who want a traditional wedding that still has a little bit of glam, and a personal and creative touch,” Tiffany said. “For people with refined, elegant sensibility but still want a little bit of fun. For people who would love a product like the Anniversary Journal.”
